Sourabh Agarwal

Sourabh Agarwal is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Illumine, an AI-native childcare management platform used by over 4,000 preschools, daycares, nurseries, and Montessori centers, including a growing base of programs across the United States. He co-founded the company in 2018 alongside Navneet Rastogi and Purva Goyal, bringing engineering experience from MiQ and Oracle to a sector that had long been underserved by software.

His focus is on building artificial intelligence (AI) that reflects the real complexity of running a center, from enrollment and billing to daily documentation and parent communication. He writes about what purpose-built technology for early childhood education looks like in practice, and why the sector needs tools designed for its workflows rather than adapted from software built for other industries.
