If the child happily gets ready and is excited to go the daycare most of the days and doesn’t want to leave his friends even when you come to pick him up, that’s the best way to know that your child is happy at the daycare.

Your child will act a little cranky during dropoff or picking up in the initial days. That is also called separation anxiety. But if your child is regular in the same center and suddenly doesn’t want to go to daycare or preschool, it could be a sign that he/she isn’t enjoying there.

The first step you should take in this case is to try talking to the kid. But they might not be able to tell the same if they are too young or are afraid of something they don’t like over there.

You can check their daily report through the childcare app for his meals, nap or other activities in the daycare and if you notice anything which is different from usual days in the report, you can contact the teacher next day. You can also check the photos or videos of the activities he has participated in to check whether he enjoyed doing it or not.

Apart from that, you should request to observe your kid through the see-through window to check how he behaves in the center after you drop him off to daycare. After observing him for some time, it’s better to have a discussion on change in his recent behavior and reluctance to come to the daycare.

What I have noticed is that they also behave a little upset if their favorite caretaker resigns and leaves the center. So, You need to analyze all the factors before coming to a conclusion that why your child is not happy in the present childcare center
